Report or block someone

Report: on their profile or in your conversation, tap the flag icon, choose Report, then what happened. Reports are confidential: the person is not told who reported them. Our moderators review reports and act within 24 hours.
Block: from the same menu, choose Block. Any match or conversation between you ends, and you no longer see each other at any venue. You can undo a block in the app (Profile, Blocked people).
If you are in danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Safety and minors

NearMatch is only for adults aged 18 and over. To report a safety concern, including someone who may be under 18, use Report in the app ("May be under 18") or write to [email protected]. Our Child Safety Standards explain what we do.

Your account

Signing in: you sign in with Apple or Google. If you lost access to that account, write to us and include the phone number verified on your NearMatch account.
Deleting your account: in the app, go to Profile, then Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. If you cannot use the app, follow the steps on Delete your account.
Your data: our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and your rights. Privacy requests: [email protected].
A decision you disagree with (a refused photo, a ban): write to [email protected] and a person will look at it again.
